Workouts at home have always been a thing. But now gyms are closed and classes are cancelled, home workouts are our new normal.
For someone like me who wanders the world fulltime, I’m no stranger to home fitness. These workouts at home are travel workouts in my world. If I can do them in a hotel room, you can easily do them in the comfort of your own home.
Over the years I have tested a bundle of programs that deliver on the home workout front. So, let me share with you, my top 9 workouts at home.
Firstly, I’ve split them into four easy sections. The finest apps, live-streaming classes, pre-recorded home workouts, and personal trainers.

THE TOP 2 HOME WORKOUT APPS
With countless apps on the market, we are spoilt for choice. So, instead of getting stuck in analysis paralysis, I’ve cut it down to the top 2. In addition, they both offer free trials too.
SWEAT
I’ve been using this app for years, it’s my best training friend. It has seen me through over 60 countries and has helped keep my sanity in check while we now stay home indefinitely.
There are five powerhouse female personal trainers and each offers different styles of training. There are 11 programs, and a huge highlight is being able to mix up your training with a workout from another trainer.
Another strong point of this app is the nation of fitness lovers it has created. If being a part of an engaged community is important to you, Sweat over-delivers.

CENTR
Centr is the sexiest new kid on the home fitness block and it is led by Chris Hemsworth and his dynamic team.
Level up your lifestyle through an all star cast of trainers, chefs, and internationally renowned yoga and meditation practitioners.
Besides Chris and his uber-fit wife Elsa, there are TWENTY-ONE experts in their team. Think HIIT, HIRT, MMA, strength, yoga, boxing, pilates and muscle building. There are even functional workouts with a Navy Seal trainer.

2 X WORKOUTS AT HOME VIA LIVE STREAMED CLASSES
It is easy to become stagnant while going through the same motions each day. One sure-fire way to shift the funk is to switch up your home fitness energy by connecting with others through a live-streamed class. Both the crews behind 305 Fitness and AARMY are doing a stellar job.
305 FITNESS
305 Fitness is hosting free online cardio dance parties. Streamed live twice daily, with the replays on their YouTube channel. If you’re shorter on time and craving an endorphin boost, try a 15-minute hit from their curated playlist.

AARMY
While their L.A & New York locations are closed, the AARMY team are bringing you daily practice sessions via Instagram live. Led by ex-tennis pro, Akin Akman, and former SoulCycle instructor and inspirational speaker, Angela Davis who has trained the likes of Beyoncé and Oprah.

4 X PRE RECORDED WORKOUTS AT HOME
Pre-recorded home workouts are plentiful if you rummage online for the style that suits you. While we all have our go-to training methods, why not use this time to mix up your fitness mode. If you usually box, try a dance class. If you lift weights, twerk it out. Whatever you do, you deserve to have some fun.
BARRY’S BOOTCAMP
World-renowned, Barry’s, is bringing it to you at home. I freaking love the energy from these trainers! Head over to their Instagram where you’ll find a plethora of ready to go home workouts on their IGTV channel. If you’re more an in-person, person, they go live on there twice a day too.

STEEZY
Check out Steezy for the world’s best dance classes designed by sought after choreographers. With 600+ classes across a variety of styles, you’re guaranteed some fun over your 7-day free trial and beyond.

THE SALTY CLUB
Even without a wave in sight you can stay primed with these surf-inspired home workouts. You also get access to guided yoga meditations, nutrition guides, healthy recipes, masterclasses, and interviews. Lastly, you can connect with like-minded souls on their geo-localized platform. It is subscription-based, but again, they’re offering a free trial as a taster.

TWERKOUT
While I’d love to say this is my secret, there are a few who know how I dance.
Original Twerk Queen, Lexy Panterra has been hosting IG live Twerkouts. They’ve also discounted a bunch of their digital downloads to use at home.

WORKOUT AT HOME WITH A PERSONAL TRAINER
While all these home workout apps, live streams and pre-recorded sessions are fantastic, if you are serious about your fitness goals, nothing beats having your own personal trainer on your side.
Now more than ever, it is crucial to have that extra layer of support, connection and accountability. Let’s face it, we all work harder in the presence of others.
Independent trainers all over the world are readjusting quickly and moving online to coach their clients. If you don’t have a personal trainer, check locally to you by asking friends for recommendations.
While I am all for supporting local, in the online world, you can be anywhere. My trainer, Ariana Stowe, is based on the East Coast of America and I’m in Australia while we ride this ‘stay at home’ wave.
Known as the ‘Beyoncé of fitness’, she helps women feel confident, lose body fat, and build sexy curves through online coaching. Grab her free 7-day workout guide and connect with her on Instagram.

Now, Go get it!
